I have voted against the creation of the new EU tool which would create a harmonised system of data protection legislation. It representsyet another approach towards creation of one size fits all EU wide legislation. I can not support any calls to harmonise Member States legislation especially in the area of the protection of the citizens when each country should have sovereignty over all of thecompetences involved.
